The significance of festivals

With the emergence of modern nation-state, national day anniversary has become a symbol of an independent country. In the celebration of recalling and remembering the great achievements of our ancestors, we shared their happiness and experienced their pain. At the same time, we inherited their indomitable spirit of sacrifice and creative wisdom in pursuit of democracy, freedom, independence and prosperity. This spirit is the inexhaustible source of our strong national self-confidence and pride. It is the realistic embodiment of the national spirit of the Chinese nation and the cohesion of the country. It is worth inheriting and carrying forward by our descendants.

Military parade activities are carried out in two steps: the parade ceremony and the march-past, usually held on major national festivals to show celebration, respect and demonstrate the achievements of military construction.

Every time we look up at the flying Five-Starred Red Flag and sing the solemn national anthem, our patriotic feelings arise spontaneously, and I am proud to be Chinese!
